LEXINGTON, MA – Dr. Fawn Rosenberg and the staff at Lexington Smile Studio have collected more than 2,800 lbs. of Halloween candy in their annual Cash for Candy, Sweets for our Troops drive this year.  In exchange for bringing in their Halloween candy, area children were paid $1.00 per pound and given flashing toothbrushes.

“We’ve shattered our old record of 1,600 lbs.,” said Dr. Rosenberg.  “This past week, a team of soldiers from Hanscom Air Force Base picked up the candy, along with toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and notes from schoolchildren to our soldiers overseas.  The items will be shipped overseas to our troops during the holidays.  We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of those who participated this year.  We know from past experience that these small reminders of home mean a lot to those that are serving abroad.”
