Dentistry From the Heart

Dr. Fawn Rosenberg and her staff of volunteers at Lexington Smile Studio offered free dentistry to those in need on Saturday, February 13th, 2010.  All told, they treated 26 patients from all over the greater Boston area.  There were lots of hugs from patients who appreciated a helping hand.  All in all it was a great beginning to this annual event.

“Thanks to Dr. Rosenberg, I can finally go to a job interview without being embarrassed to smile,” said John, a father of three children, who has been out of work for the past year.

Dr. Fawn Rosenberg of Lexington Smile Studio and her volunteers participated in Dentistry From the Heart, a non-profit organization providing free dentistry for those in need. Participants include, from left to right, Jessica Chiu, Zibuole Pliopliene, Monica Pliopliene, Dr. Fawn Rosenberg, Sage Fabricant, Gary Moldaver, Christa Wozmak, Miranda Bellitti, Ann Lipavich and Spencer Fabricant.

In addition to the free dentistry, each patient left Lexington Smile Studio with a care package of oral home care products (provided by Sarah Belaidi of Proctor and Gamble), a red carnation (provided by Wagon Wheel), antibiotics (if needed- supplied by Theatre Pharmacy) and a smile.

Also much appreciated, were the contributions of several area businesses providing complimentary food and beverages.  Shaw’s Supermarket, Stop & Shop, Bertucci’s, Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts all made sure that no one left hungry.
